Everyone in school met with our buddies to do a taste experiment. We ate two mystery foods that looked very similar. We had to taste the food whilst pinching our noses. It was difficult to taste the food and tell a difference between them. Then we repeated the experiment without pinching our noses and it was much easier! One food was cut up apple and one was raw potato! The experiment showed us that we need both our tongues and our noses to be able to taste food, they are a taste team! This is why it is hard to taste food when we have a cold, because our sense of smell can't help us!British Science Week 2020 - Taste Test with our Buddies!
Reception have enjoyed partaking in lots of different Science experiments this week including an experiment with glitter to represent germs on hands and the bread experiment where they had 4 samples handled by clean hands, unwashed hands, the whole class hands and one sample untouched.British Science Week 2020 - Reception
Year 2 were working scientifically to investigate what habitats different minibeasts live in. We used a table to help us record our results as tally marks. We then used our results to draw conclusions about the most likely places to find different insects.British Science Week 2020 - Year 2
Year 3 enjoyed making balloon rockets to investigate which type of materials make the best track for their working scientifically investigation as well as partaking in the 'taste test' with their buddies.British Science Week 2020 - Year 3
