We love being creative in Year 1 and expressing our imagination through different means. In Key Stage One, we learn to use a range of materials creatively to design and make products, to use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share our ideas, experiences and imagination, to use different techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space and to learn about the work of a range of artists.
Cave Paintings Inspired by our story 'Cave Baby' and the paintings he does, we worked as a class to create our very own cave paintings.
Cave Paintings Under the sea watercoloursInspired by our book 'Shark in the Dark', we used watercolour paints to create our own under the sea pictures.
Under the sea watercolours Starry NightInspired by Vincent Van Gogh and our Space topic, we created our own Starry night pictures by painting onto foil.
