Reception went on a tour around our school. We then recorded our favourite places.

Reception were looking at walks that are special to us and places that we might visit. We went for a walk outside within our school and used our senses to explore the area.

Reception learnt about Harvest festival. We walked to St. Margarets church and listened to Nigel and Rachel. We gave thanks to God for the food we have. When we came back to school we mapped our journey to church and talked about why the church is a special building.

Reception have been looking at the inside of a Church, we looked at stained glass windows and the stories that are on these. We then used tissue paper to create our own.

We have used orange scented dough to create our own Christingles. We learnt about what the red ribbon represents and why we put sweets on four cocktail sticks.

Rachel came to talk to us about Easter and why it is a special time of year for Christian people. We made an Easter gardens with the natural resources.

Reception have been looking at special buildings, we learnt about Mosques then labelled the differences between these and a Church.
