There are six key areas of learning  which collectively provide a platform for everything children will encounter as they progress through their maths learning at primary school, and beyond:

• Pattern
• Shape and Space
• Measures.

In Recdeption we use the White Rose Mathematics learning scheme to structure and support our mathematics teaching and learning. The CBeebies series of five-minute animated programmes called Numberblocks  provide an additional dynamic to support our children's understanding of numbers and the compostion of each number.
