Is it a solid or a liquid? Or even a gas?

Have you ever used foamburst? Some of us had and we weren't quite sure whether it was a solid, a liquid or a gas. We observed the foamburst expanding, changing colour and getting bubbles. But which state of matter was it? A solid? A liquid? Or a gas? We noticed there were many properties that made it a solid, liquid and a gas. We discovered that objects don't always fit perfectly in one category and can result in lots of discussion when we really think about it!

Science

This week in science we investigated different states of matter. We looked at different objects to decide if they were liquids, solids or gases. We then explained how we knew. Rice was confusing as it was a solid but we could pour it like a liquid!
